As the armature rotates, the copper piece comes into contact with the fixed brush. In a DC motor, the alternating current in the armature winding is changed into the direct current between the brushes by means of a brush and a commutator. In the AC commutator motor, the frequency of alternating current between brushes meets the working requirements.
